September 1st 2008 Big Ben Patton’s Place will be proud to present the official relaunch of its blog. To commemorate the fresh look of the site, and the new content which I plan to tackle I wanted to invite everyone to stop by and check out what I am doing here now. This blog has come a long way in the last six months. I have broken every goal set out for this blog since the start. I want everyone to be as excited as I am because not only are you getting the new Big Ben Patton’s Place, and more outstanding content but also Market Leverage has stepped up to the plate and will award one lucky reader of Big Ben Patton’s Place an ASUS Eee PC 2G Surf 7″ Notebook. This is a bloggers dream machine. For the highly mobile that do not wish to carry a full size laptop, or those without the space for a desktop.
Let’s talk about how you can win this awesome blogging device!

Big Ben Patton
This week I wrapped up most of the major changes to the site. I am sure that you are as excited as I am to see these all finished in just under a month of digging through this theme and checking everything at least three times I am done. For Now. Until someone finds something else. Moving along lol. I also managed to get out some pretty decent content.
Until very recently I thought I had a real 404 error page. The truth of the matter is I could not have been more wrong about the whole situation. Now let me tell you exactly what a 404 page is before your head explodes. The number 404 refers to an error when a page is not found on a web server. I am sure that all of us have encountered this at one point or another. By default you may have seen the Apache web server error for the 404 error which told you nothing other than this is not here. Not helpful by any stretch of the imagination. The other option more than likely was a default screen which IE or FF will display in these instances. Again not the least bit helpful. Now their is a more obscure page that may have displayed due to some themes actually incorporating it into their word press themes, and really all this does for you is displays the site devoid of the “content area” with the text 404 page not found. Equally as helpful to you the webmaster, or you the reader.
